The public holiday list for the year 2023, along with the academic calendar for schools affiliated to the WBBSE board of education, has been announced by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE). The WBBSE holiday list 2023 includes holidays that are celebrated during West Bengal state regional festivals, as well as national holidays such as Republic Day, Independence Day, and Gandhi Jayanti. Furthermore, the list comprises of gazetted and public holidays declared by the central government of India.
WBBSE Holiday List 2023 PDF
On holidays declared by the administrative authority of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), closure will be observed by all WBBSE schools, the WBBSE head office, and all regional offices. If a festival or public holiday falls on a Sunday or if more than two festivals fall on the same day, no substitute holiday will be provided. However, for certain festivals or public holidays that depend on the sighting of the moon and other conditions, the date of the holiday may be subject to change. In such cases, the holiday date will be announced later.
